A new publication from NASA claiming that a bacterium was able to survive without phosphorus has provoked a storm of controversy and raised doubts about the accuracy of some of the agency’s scientific research. Scientific blogger Rosie Redfiel called the study “flim-flam” which was riddled with errors. And when NASA responded that it wasn’t interested in debating with bloggers, it managed to raise temperatures even higher. Report
